Lana Del Rey’s new album release date announced and a Sublime cover
She’s effing back, Lana Del Rey will drop“Norman Fucking Rockwell” this August.
We’ve been waiting and waiting but now we have an approximate date. In about two months from now, Lana Del Rey is going to drop her fifth studio album, Norman Fucking Rockwell, which we’ve been hearing a lot about to be honest and with so much hope. Saturday, June 22, brought us the news veiled within a Dublin performance.
During the show, the “Summertime Sadness” artist announced the album’s arrival and sent the crowd into a frenzy of excessive cheers and WOOs. As soon as she said the words of the possible date, which should be sometime this August, the crowd went wild as was captured by a fan during the concert.
“I hope you like the new record… it’s coming out in two months!”
In addition to performing her classic repertoire in Dublin, such as “Born To Die,” “Blue Jeans,” and “Video Games,” Lana also sang some of the new songs live as well as a cover of Sublime’s “Doin Time.”
Del Rey had already talked about Norman Fucking Rockwell in September of 2018 and since then, she been dropping singles, which we can safely assume are part of the upcoming album. “Hope Is A Dangerous Thing For A Woman Like Me To Have – But I Have It,” “Mariners Apartment Complex,” “Venice Bitch,” and “How To Disappear” are what we’ve heard so far and we’re ready for the rest with tissues and ice cream to fill our hands, heads, and stomachs because a Lana album will evoke ALL senses.
The singer-songwriter is also working on a poetry book alongside the album which she plans on selling for $1 and is presumably titled Violet Bent Backwards Over The Grass and we’re honestly excited for all her projects.
