Taylor Swift is the archer and the prey on The Archer
Taylor Swift is ready for combat in the most peaceful way possible in “The Archer.”
Track number 5 is here and with it comes the pouring of Taylor’s heart, as is tradition.
“Track 5 is kind of a tradition that really started with you guys. I don’t know why, but instinctively, I was just putting a very vulnerable, personal, honest, emotional song as track five.”
Taylor’s album Lover is due August 23 and until then the artist has been/is/will be releasing music and videos to prepare us for what’s coming. Track number 5, which has gained the reputation of being Taylor’s most personal track dropped on the weekend and it made the Easter egg in the “You Need To Calm Down” video clear.
In the midst of all the chaos, Hayley Kiyoko shoots an arrow at a number 5, which fans quickly concluded is related to the fifth track. The singer already came out to say that “The Archer” isn’t an official single and doesn’t have a music video but she’s doing a music video for something else, *eagerly waits.*
I’m going live on Instagram tomorrow, July 23 at 5pm ET! I have some stuff I’m reeeeeally excited to tell you about, including some info on this Easter egg right here. 🏹🎯👀⬆️ pic.twitter.com/uxNYCgZ0Tz

“The Archer” sees Taylor talking about past relationships, past friendships, some that turned into enemies and she wonders would stay.
